Fluconazole Tablets IP 150mg medicine is used to treat infections. It comes as an oral dose, a suspension you take by mouth, and can only be given by a healthcare provider. It helps prevent infection with the fungus Candida and other parts of your body, including your throat, esophagus, lungs, and blood. Those who have had bone marrow transplants may be treated with fluconazole. It is also used to treat meningitis. 

By blocking the ability of the fungi Candida to reproduce Fluconazole has many advantages over the antifungal drugs.
